Dave Englund > Opal on matrix; 11.5x 8.5x 5.5 cm

No "fire" (opalescence)in this opal, but a beautiful powder blue color still makes it an enjoable specimen.

This gem is actually quite a bit whiter. I darkened it and saturated the colors a bit so they would be more visible in this shot. They are quite visible to the naked eye, but my close-up photography lighting skills leave something to be desired. The opal is quite white and filled with delicate "fire."
