The West Metro Fire Rescue District held a training exercise on Saturday, June 7 2008 at 8400 Base Lake Road in New Hope Minnesota. I was aware of the training exercise as my parents live around the corner from the controlled burn site. I grew up in both Crystal and New Hope townships, which are serviced by the West Metro Fire Rescue District. It was a fine day for a "controlled burn." Although, I managed to develop a burn of my own also - sunburn! Anyway, hope you enjoy the photojournalism.
